An event rich in contents with an eye to sustainability

 

Novelties have many dimensions at the Macef International Home Show which are held in fieramilano from January 26th through 29th, 2012, and reveal home décor trends to trade operators: richer areas, events and exhibitions aiming at valorizing creativity and originality, significant space has been given to Italian quality and tradition, and renewed attention is devoted to sustainability through exhibition and thematic initiatives.

 
With 1.900 exhibitors and 100,000 square meters, Macef remains a point of reference for the sector, its 5 areas, clearly recognizable and renewed as for layout and contents, which host endless opportunity to discover beauty in every form: from tableware to furniture, from gifts to bijoux.
Home Décor, a look on an always new home dimension; Tableware & Kitchenware, elegance and prestige of shapes and materials for unforgettable occasions; Gifts, Trade & Big Volume, where astonishment takes shape with the most original gifts; Bijoux, Gold, Fashion & Accessories where personal design is protagonist, as well as bijoux and fashion; Silver, the area that reclaims its identity to enhance every detail forged from this precious metal.
 

The International Home Show enjoys a well-established formula, capable of being renewed thanks to the great design brands which, also this year, decided to take part to the event as exhibitors: Guzzini, Richard Ginori, TVS, and Gio Style, Abert-Broggi 1818, and many more. The excellent quality of the exhibitors has already drawn the attention of international selected buyers for whom Macef represents the best solution for their business.

…Tradizione Italia

The best of Made-in-Italy gifts and fancy goods at Macef becomes Tradizione Italia, a section devoted to some Italian productive excellences which host some important regional delegations eager to give visibility to the productive excellences of their territory. A new way to discover the hidden excellences of the representatives of design and tradition.

 
…Creazioni
The traditional and much appreciated showcase of the most innovative design: besides the Creazioni area, the Creazioni Designer space hosts, among the others but clearly highlighted 4 under-35 young artists, who won the Creazioni Giovani competition, organized by Macef in cooperation with ARTEX to promote research production.


…the best of Bijoux world
Once again, beauty-à-porter has been enriched by The Best of Bijoux competition, purposely conceived to enhance the experience of the most creative companies, and by the Bijoux Trend Gallery area devoted to the most exclusive trends. Beauty becomes event with “That’s
fashion!” organized in cooperation with Preziosa magazine, where visitors enjoy jewels, bijoux and fashion accessories strut down the catwalk.

 
…Sustainable
Beauty is getting more and more sustainable thanks to two Macef initiatives: the Storie di Cose Sostenibili exhibition, by Architect Marco Capellini, and the Macef Green Map path, through which it is possible to discover the sustainability solutions used by Macef exhibitors.


…Creativity
The pavilion devoted to Gift, Cart and Big Volume hosts the Creativity space, the project devoted to hobbies and manual arts (hobby and décor products, fine arts, fabrics, yarn, creative paper): a patchwork of ideas and opportunities to discover the new trends.


Macef… out of Macef
Macef mine of trends goes beyond the boundaries of the exhibition for trade operators and goes back to town to meet the general public with the Macef in Town events.

Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia di Milano hosts Macef ECO-LOGIC, an event created in collaboration with AMSA: the children who will bring an aluminum or plastic product to be recycled, will receive a free entrance to the museum; grown-ups will be offered a gift by Bialetti e iGuzzini, exhibitors at Macef.
Beauty is the protagonist of MACEF TASTE, an initiative which is linked to the gastronomic excellences of Milan and suggests gourmet trails connected to taste and particular places in Milan.
For the first time, MACEF SHOWROOM involves exhibitors who have a store in town and during the Macef week they organize mini-events, promotions, and product launches.

Macef is increasingly socialike, thanks to its presence on the main social networks through channels conceived to become an informal community and a mine of ideas for all trade operators. It is also getting more and more useful thanks to Macef HD, free application which makes Macef contents visible from iPads.

 
Macef also consolidates its main collaboration with the leading sector associations (Anima, Art, Asssimpex, Classico Italiano-Federlegnoarredo, Firb), which continue playing a key role for their continuous contribution in identifying together with Macef the needs of the market.
